I’m Sarah - a nutritionist and teacher who created backed. to cut through the noise and bring clarity to health and nutrition.

I hold a BS in Nutrition and Food Science and an M.Ed. in Teaching. My work is evidence-based, practical, and focused on real habits - not trends, fads, or extremes.

I’m a cancer survivor managing genetic high blood pressure and Hashimoto’s. I’ve also lost 50 pounds on my own and rebuilt my health over time - which means I understand first hand how complex and personal this process can be.

I live in Reno with my husband and our two dogs. I spend my time running trails, being outside, learning, cooking, and on the couch with takeout and a good show.

I’m here to provide honest, grounded guidance. That’s it.
